Bozen Round Tour

Etsch cycling trail – Bozen – Girlan – Montiggl – Lake Kaltern & Messner Mountain Museum

On the cycling trail to Bozen and along the old railway tracks to Lake Kaltern.

It is almost impossible to find a flatter route. Enjoy a cycle through the regional capital Bozen. The cycling trail leads to the beautiful shopping street of Bozen under the arbours. The fruit market, the Ötzi Museum, Walther Square and many other interesting sights await you.

From Tramin cycle to Auer and comfortably on the cycling trail along Etsch River until shortly before Bozen, where you turn off onto the cycling trail in the direction of Eppan and cycle to Frangart. (You can also cycle to the city centre of Bozen on your bike and visit the shopping street, the fruit market, Walther Square or “Ötzi” in the Museum of Archaeology). Return to Tramin on the old railway route of the Überetsch Railway, which is now a cycling trail. In Frangart you will reach Sigmundskron Castle. The castle hosts the Messner Mountain Museum. You should plan at least two hours for a “short” visit to the castle. The tour continues via Girlan, Montiggl to Lake Kaltern and on to Tramin.
